A person-centred NDIS provider committed to genuine, consistent, and evidence-informed support.
Sakara Care is a small, dedicated NDIS provider supporting people with psychosocial disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and mental health needs across NSW. We deliver support that is safe, trauma-informed, and shaped entirely around each individual — never rushed, never clinical, never one-size-fits-all.
We currently support plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants across the Macarthur region, South West Sydney, Wollondilly, the Southern Highlands, and the Illawarra.
About Sakara Care
Why “Sakara”?
-
When the name was chosen, that idea felt fitting.
Sakara Care itself began as a simple thought — a belief that support could be delivered differently. That people deserved consistency. That genuine relationships matter. That quality should never be sacrificed for growth. And that a small team, guided by the right values, could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Over time, that thought became something real. But the meaning behind the name extends beyond how Sakara Care began.
We believe perspective is powerful. The way we experience the world, the challenges we face, and the stories we carry all shape how we see ourselves and those around us. Sometimes perspective can limit us. Sometimes it can help us recognise possibilities we hadn’t seen before.
At Sakara Care, we choose to focus on what is possible.
We choose to see the person before the diagnosis, the strengths alongside the challenges, and the opportunities for growth, connection, and independence that exist for every individual.
In many ways, that is what Sakara Care was built to do — to create positive experiences, meaningful relationships, and lasting impact, one person at a time.
Because sometimes the smallest moments matter most.
A participant feeling understood.
A family feeling supported.
A support worker feeling valued.
A reason for someone to smile today.
For us, that’s what Sakara has always been about.

Our Story
-
Some of the most meaningful journeys begin somewhere unexpected.
For Sakara Care, it began with a parent attending an NDIS information session, simply wanting to understand what the changes would mean for their family. What came from that experience was something entirely unexpected: a genuine passion for helping people live fuller, more connected lives.
That experience marked the beginning of a career across intake, administration, support coordination, leadership, and service delivery. Along the way came a deeper understanding of both the system itself and, more importantly, the people at the centre of it.
-
Along the way, one thing became increasingly clear.
The quality of support people receive is rarely determined by policies or promises. More often, it comes down to relationships, consistency, and whether people feel genuinely known, valued, and supported.
As many organisations grew, maintaining that level of personal connection often became more difficult. Caseloads increased, staff became stretched, and participants were left navigating constant changes in the people supporting them.
That experience shaped how we believed support should be delivered.
-
Sakara Care was established in 2020 with a simple belief: quality should never be sacrificed for growth.
From the beginning, our goal was never to become the biggest provider. It was to create a service that people could genuinely rely on — one built on trust, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to doing the little things well, day after day.
We are intentional about the participants we support, the services we provide, and the size of our team. Not because we lack ambition, but because we believe people deserve support that is thoughtful, consistent, and delivered well.
-
At the heart of Sakara Care are the values that have guided us from the beginning: kindness, empathy, integrity, commitment, and genuine goodwill.
These aren’t words we display on a wall. They are the principles that shape how we support participants, communicate with families, collaborate with stakeholders, and build our team.
Today, many of the participants we support have been with us for years. We are incredibly proud of the trust they place in us and of the relationships we have built together over time. To us, that continuity speaks louder than any marketing message ever could.
-
We believe that exceptional support starts with supporting the people who provide it.
Throughout our experience in the sector, we have seen the impact that burnout, overwhelm, and high staff turnover can have on both workers and participants. That’s why we are committed to creating a workplace where our team feels valued, respected, and supported.
When support workers are able to bring their best selves to work, participants benefit too. Creating a positive and sustainable workplace isn’t just good for our team — it’s an essential part of delivering genuinely high-quality support.
-
We are committed to continuing to learn, grow, and improve.
Through ongoing professional development, lived experience, evidence-informed practice, and a genuine willingness to listen, we are always looking for ways to better support the people who place their trust in us.
For us, growth isn’t about becoming bigger. It’s about becoming better.
-
At its core, Sakara Care has always been about people.
It’s about showing up, following through, building genuine relationships, and providing support in a way that feels personal, respectful, and human.
That is what Sakara Care was built on.
And that is what will continue to guide us into the future.
Be the reason someone smiles today.
Be the reason someone smiles today.
